Ritual Ascension est le résultat d'une association entre trois musiciens appartenant à Void Rot, Aberration et Suffering Hour. Le groupe américain dévoilera le 28 février chez Sentient Ruin Laboratories son premier album, Profanation of the Adamic Covenant, dont on peut entendre un extrait avec Womb Exegesis, véritable monolithe de blackened death doom metal érigé pour la fin des temps.
